The Football legend, Diego Maradona, passed on after he suffered a heart attack yesterday. The president of Argentina, Mr. Alberto Fernandez, declared three days of national mourning.

One of the greatest players of all time, the former Argentina attacking midfielder ruled the game in his prime. Although the second half of his career was marred by cocaine addiction, he remained a shining beacon of inspiration for countless young players across the globe.

Maradona's greatest achievement was winning the World Cup for his country in 1986. His ardent fans still remember his legendary dribbling skills that befuddled the opponents and dismantled their defense.

He scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for Argentina.

Brazil Legend, Pele, expressed his grief on Twitter:
What sad news. I lost a great friend and the world lost a legend. There is still much to be said, but for now, may God give strength to family members. One day, I hope we can play ball together in the sky.
