Hi everyone! This is RB. As you can see from the
title, we are going to learn the word, ‘DEMAGOGUE’, which is recently used by the
former US President, Mr. Barack Obama.
While addressing a gathering, Mr. Obama says, and
I quote, “Demagogues promise simple fixes to complex problems."
A demagogue is a public speaker who tries to win
support by taking advantage of the passions, frustrations, emotions of the
ordinary people instead of using logic and rationality. This could be a
political leader as well.
These people are extremely smart. They know how to
use their words.
Anyhow, there is no reason
why I should prolong this lesson any further.
